We're a small team of language learners, med students, and lifelong note-scribblers who got tired of rebuilding the same flashcard decks over and over. ChainLearn started as our own study tool before we decided everyone deserves a shortcut past the blank-index-card stage.
Our mission is simple: strip away the busywork of learning so you can spend your time actually remembering. That means a real spaced-repetition engine doing the scheduling, not a to-do list pretending to be one.

ChainLearn: To up Memory was built on one non-negotiable principle: your study data belongs to you and only you. The app makes zero network requests, requires no account, and has no server anywhere in the world to send information to. Every flashcard you study, every Leitner box position, and every streak you build lives exclusively on your device. This policy explains, in plain terms, exactly what that means.
1. Information We Collect
We collect none. Not your name, not your email, not your location, not your device identifiers, not usage analytics — nothing. There is no sign-up form because there is no account, and there is no hidden telemetry pinging home in the background. The app functions fully without ever asking who you are.
2. How We Use Information
Since no information is ever collected, none is ever used, analyzed, profiled, or monetized. We don't build advertising profiles, we don't study your behavior, and we have nothing to license or sell to anyone, because there is simply nothing on our end to work with.
3. Data Storage
Your progress — which deck you're studying, which box each flashcard sits in, your quiz history, spelling attempts, and match-game results — is stored only in local storage on your own device. Nothing is mirrored to a cloud, nothing is backed up to our servers, because we don't operate any servers that receive app data in the first place.
4. Third-Party Services
ChainLearn does not embed third-party analytics kits, advertising networks, crash reporters, or social trackers of any kind. No SDK in this app phones out to a third party, and no external service ever receives a byte of your study activity.
5. Data Security
Because your flashcard progress never travels across a network, it isn't exposed to the risks that come with data transmission or cloud storage — no server breach, no intercepted request, no leaked database can affect information that was never sent anywhere. Your device's own security protects it, the same way it protects your other local files.
6. Children's Privacy
ChainLearn is safe for learners of any age precisely because it collects no personal information from anyone, including children. As no data is ever gathered, transmitted, or stored remotely, there is nothing that requires parental consent, and the app remains compliant with the spirit of COPPA and similar child-privacy regulations by design, not by policy alone.
7. Your Control
You are always in full control of your own study data. There is no account to manage because none is required. If you ever want to clear your Leitner progress or remove the app entirely, simply uninstalling ChainLearn deletes every trace of local data with it — there is no remote copy left behind, because none ever existed.
8. Changes to This Policy
Should our practices ever evolve, we will update this policy and revise the effective date above accordingly. Any future update will continue to honor the same core commitment: no data collection, no network requests, no exceptions, unless clearly and separately disclosed to you in advance.
